On the Write Road

Hello warm up land.
Now that i have time it is time to finish, or start, the Great American novel.
Eleven From Sanford.
At 1 pm today until 4pm at the Sanford Museum on the north bank of Lake Monroe, i have an appointment to examine the Sanford Herald archives. While on the hunt last week i found the first page, showed it to Linda and the boys. Joey said "I want to know what happens next." That alone stoked my coals to scribble. But one needs a warm up place and this place looks a comfy as any... Too much reading in the "writeing" community blogs, etc. can be a little addictive and draining. Why does a writer need "prompts" to start the juices flowing. A real writer is chocka block full of prompts in their head already. Just plop your butt in the saddle and write. But, today for me is about the research. So. During my hunt last week i also found many pages laying down my story. I wrote it for the boys back in the early 90's. wow. Now i can move on to updating my auto-bio. these last few, 26 years in florida have provided some prompts. lol.
but first. today. Research. How much does one do? Enough to get the picture, then i will color in the details or bits that make it human.

write here write now I am in my library. a place I will write from more than others, but still full of tales to tell. I should start at the basics. 10' by 12'? boxy of a room with vaulted ceilings, the window faces south with closed more than open blinds. this is a crowded hood and I see more here in the dark than the light of that open window....
